Fuller's London Porter

Notes

A nice porter, but the style is just a bit too light for my liking. It’s got a bit of roasty bitterness, easy‑going carbonation, and an okayish mouthfeel — just a tad watery for my taste.

So what’s wrong with it? Honestly… nothing. It’s perfectly fine. It just sits firmly in the “it’s ok, but…” category for me, with no real reason to pick it over anything else on the shelf.

Perhaps it works when you want something bitter without going heavy on the impy stouts.

Perhaps it’s what you grab when you want something a bit more macho than a Guinness — at least in vibe, if not in actual bitterness.

Perhaps I should compare it side by side with a Black Sheep Milk Stout, because it reminded me of that one.

Perhaps…too many perhaps…let’s move on…
