Black Chocolate Stout
Brooklyn Brewery
Brooklyn Brewery
Brooklyn’s Black Chocolate Stout is a classic Russian Imperial Stout that leans into the darker, bitter end of the style. The chocolate and coffee notes come entirely from roasted malts — no adjuncts, no gimmicks — and you can taste that honesty in the glass.
It’s not the richest or most decadent RIS out there, but it’s well‑balanced, roasty, and satisfying in that old‑school way. A beer made for cold evenings, soft lighting, and sinking into the sofa without a care in the world.
Not my top pick in the category, but absolutely a stout I’m happy to spend time with.
